As you know, the Veterans Caucus of the AAPA is responsible for presenting this very important ceremony to honor those that have died in service to our country as well as honoring those who have served and are currently serving as members of our Uniformed Services.

Please join the Board of directors and members of the Veterans Caucus on Monday, May 16, 2016 at the Henry B Gonzalez Convention Center, Stars at Night Ballroom, San Antonio. Our theme this year is “Remember Our Roots”

Service members, both past and present, will be honored and we will reflect on the origins of the Physician Assistant profession, those contributions made by Veterans, past and present.

Mr Kenneth Harbert, Founding Member of the Veterans Caucus, and Ms Rubina DaSilva, President of Veterans Affairs PA Association as our keynote speakers.

Seating begins at 3:45 p.m. Please make plans to join us and make it a most memorable event.

U.S. Public Health Service

The U.S. Public Health Service (USPHS) Commissioned Corps is a team of more than 6,000 public health professionals filling the mission of public health promotion, disease prevention and advancing public health science. As one of America’s seven uniformed services, the Commissioned Corps fills essential public health leadership and service roles within multiple federal government agencies and programs. A few of the federal agencies USPHS officers work in include the U.S. Coast Guard (USCG), Food and Drug Administration (FDA), National Institutes of Health (NIH), Indian Health Service (IHS), Centers for Disease Control (CDC), and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
